This heavy gauge (HG) safe is made of 11 gauge steel.  Beautiful gloss black painted door and powder coated body.  This safe is comparable to the Liberty Safes "Franklin 40," which starts at $3939! And ours is 100 lbs heavier for almost half the cost!
